Writing+ apps to make your writing life easier

We are living in a time where everything can be added to our cell phones and tablets. More and more authors are using these electronics to write their stories, edit them, and even market them. Knowing the right apps to use and where to find them can make it easier and quicker to get everything started in our new careers as authors.

When I first began writing, I didn't have these things available to me because they weren't invented/created yet. When cell phones were first made available to people, they didn't have these things available to them. Now, apps are on every single phone there is. Most likely, you already had a few apps installed on your phone before the first time you even used it. I like the Google apps because they are so much easier but only Android phones have Google. Iphones and the others use their own like Siri, etc. But you can always download Google to your phone. But I'm not talking about Google today. Instead, I'm going to share other apps that can make your writing career work better for you.

Since I have Google, I have their store to download and install the apps. Using your phone's store version, you can search for these apps and install them on your own device. Here's what I found in my search on a laptop, although they can be found on any device lol.

According to https://freedom.to/blog/best-writing-apps/ here are the top 14 best writing apps.

  • Scrivener

  • iA Writer

  • Write Room

  • Storyist

  • Hemingway

  • Freedom

  • Evernote

  • FocusWriter

  • Grammarly

  • Dynalist

  • Airstory

Other websites you can check out include

No matter which sites you visit in search of the best writing apps, make sure you know what style of phone you have, and which apps are supported by that phone. That is why you should use the store that comes with the phone. Supported apps will be displayed in the store. And some of the apps listed above work great for editing as well, so while you're searching for writing apps, search for editing ones well to help the process become more smooth in transition. If you can do everything within one app, you will be more likely to save time and energy as you push through that book. Grammarly is good for editing. I use the free version although the paid version is a lot better, so keep an eye on your budget as well. Not all sites are free.

And some apps can be used on the laptop as well, keep that in mind. You can sync some of the apps so you can write on your laptop, and then take it with you on the road so you can keep writing/editing. That's what makes life so much easier. Of course, you could take your laptop with you but who takes a laptop to the store? While waiting in the long line, you can be writing lol. Pulling your cell phone out of your pocket is so much easier than pulling out the laptop lol. Plus, it is easier to keep an eye on the line as you're waiting for it to move forward.

Anyway, I hope this helps with your writing career. Everyone is different so what works for one may not work for another. Keep that in mind as you ask other writers what they use. Any comments will be appreciated so if you have anything to add, please do so. Thank you!!!
