None of us will live forever. Sometimes, that scares me because I don't know when, where, how it will happen to me. I can't handle pain very well, so I'm terrified that's how I will go--very painfully. I have to keep telling myself not to think about it because death is the most depressing thing there is. We've all lost someone so it's something we can all relate to--one way or the other.
Do you have a bucket list? You know, a list of things you want to accomplish before you go? I don't have a list per se, but there are a number of things I do want to finish before my time is up.
My Bucket List
Have 100 books published (it would be so cool to have at least 100. More would be even cooler!
I would love to see at least one great-grandchild come into this world.
I was able to travel around the US, but before I go, I'd like to visit another country. England would be nice.
I would love to see at least one of my books be turned into a movie.
Hitting the best-seller's list for one of my books.
Meet Stephen King and get his autograph. Maybe give him one of my books with it autographed. Be able to have a lengthy conversation with him.
Win an award for one of my books.
Be recognized as an author by someone I don't know.
Win the jackpot (million-dollar prize or more) in the lottery. Okay, I'm dreaming here, but anything is possible!
That's why I got so far. Of course, the list could change over the years. My personal life is pretty much good now, so I don't want too much of it to change. Of course, it would always be awesome to win loads of money or hit tons of sales to where I can get the house of my dreams, but I do want to be realistic. I know there's a 50-50 chance it could or couldn't happen so I'm not getting my hopes up. Everything else, I can work hard to achieve. And I am. Maybe someday, these things could happen to me. After all, these things can happen to anyone and I have just as much a chance as anyone else. You included. I hope we all get the things we want.
What's on your bucket list?
