Amber: Hello Dr Adams. I hope you're doing good today.
Dr Adams: Thank you, Amber. I'm doing all right. Last night was a busy night, but I heal fast so everything is just fine.
Amber: You heal fast?
Dr Adams: I do, yes.
Amber: That's interesting. What else makes you different?
Dr Adams: Well, I don't sleep.
Amber: Not ever? Don't you get tired?
Dr Adams: *laughs* Zack asked me the same thing. No, I don't get tired. I did sleep once or twice as a child, but I haven't slept since. I thought something was wrong so I asked medical doctors without actually telling them that I don't sleep. They said it was unheard of but they didn't find anything wrong with me so I didn't mention it. No sense in stiring up trouble-I get enough of that with the *looks away* vampires.
Amber: I already know you fight vampires. When did you begin slaying them?
Dr Adams: I'm a third generation hunter. My father taught me and his father taught him. It was in my teenage years when I decided I needed more so I convinced my father to allow me to study and go to the universities. We lived in a town called Grantsat. That's where I studied. I'm a professor there now. The university shares the same name. A man named Grant founded the town.
Amber: Well, that's interesting. Does anyone there know about your hunting?
Dr Adams: God, I hope not. They aren't ready for the truth. No one is. Would you be able to sleep at night knowing that vampires roam the streets?
Amber: Well, I do know and I sleep just fine. What's your interest in archeology?
Dr Adams: I love history and learning about the world before I came into it. I believe the love came from my father--that was why I chose the profession. He was an archeologist as well. It's a great cover for what we do.
Amber: I understand your father died.
Dr Adams: Yes, but I would prefer if we didn't talk about it.
Amber: I'm sorry. Were you two close?
Dr Adams: We were, yes. He'd still be alive if it weren't for his friend, Joniah. I can't stand that man.
Amber: Isn't Joniah working with you?
Dr Adams: Yes, he is. The man tricked me. I don't want to talk about it.
Amber: I'm sorry. Is there something you would like to talk about?
Dr Adams: Yes. The location for the legendary song of the bones and sun has been found! My father had been searching for it for his entire life. I must finish the quest in his name. And I pray it holds the answers I've been searching for.
Amber: What questions?
Dr Adams: Why am I much stronger than the average man? Why don't I sleep? What secrets have my father kept from me? The questions go deeper, but those are the ones I'm willing to share right now.
Amber: That's fair. I understand your journey has taken a turn. Would you like to share a little about that?
Dr Adams: Well, there is only a little that I can share. I must locate the Forbidden Place. It is rumored that vampires protect it. These vamps are a special breed. I must take the tablet to this place and destroy it. I heard it was in Egypt, but I won't know for sure until I've made the trip. Amber, I know you have more questions, but this is Monday and I do have a class. I must be on my way before my students become aware of my tardiness.
Amber: All right. Thank you for sitting down with me, Dr Adams.
Dr Adams: Thank you for having me!
