Saying goodbye to something isn't easy, but when it a year, I can be the easiest thing ever!
The year 2023 has been good for me. I wrote, edited, published, and repeated five times. And I was able to get started on the next book for 2024, so it could be published early spring.
I wished my grandbabies another year older. I gained another year. I got a little wiser too. I'm forever learning.
I also gained a lot of new ideas for stories in 2023. Some of the ideas came out of no where while looking at pictures that didn't even relate to the idea. How that happened, I have no clue. I don't question where the ideas come from, I openly accept them. I've finished trying to figure out my imagination lol a long time ago. Sometimes, a higher power is responsible--it's the only explanation for those kinds of ideas lol. Has that ever happened to you?
With the end of the year quickly approaching, I've been giving next year a lot of thought. I've already shared my plans for what I'm writing in 2024. So it's no surprise that I'm writing A Mother's Pain, Nanobytes, Fairytale's Dreams, Broken, and Magical Expansion. In that order.
I will also be planning A Case of Murder, the first book in the Ghost Detective series. This outline/plan will only be shared with my subscribers. Here's the link to sign up.
subscribepage.io/p5o9p7 A Case of Murder is scheduled to be released in 2025. The exact date hasn't been set yet. That will be done later next year. So keep an eye out for that story! I'm super excited about having a ghost solve mysteries!
I read once that mysteries like these should be planned. A writer should know who the killer is first and work backward, adding in the details of the murder and evidence of such event. I thought I'd give it a try lol. You should see what I've already pulled together. But only if you subscribe lol. This is going to be so much fun!
So, do I have any new year resolutions? I have goals, yes. I'm going to keep writing, pushing myself. Five books a year isn't bad, I've seen writers do way more. I know what I'm capable of. Moving ahead of myself is nice, but I don't expect it because life does get in the way sometimes. So I don't plan anything too far ahead--nothing is set in stone for that reason. I'll be working on my blood sugar levels, got to get the A1C a little lower so I don't become a diabetic like my dad, maternal grandmother, and who knows who else before her. I'm going to keep accepting story ideas and work on more covers. I can't wait to share them with the world. And I'm going to keep learning, growing, reading, and exploring life. So basically, live lol.
Do you have any goals for 2024?
