I've Moved!

Updated: Dec 3, 2023

For those who have been following me, I no longer live in the hotel. I still work there though. To make a long story short, we worked with the motel manager to find a replacement. I was no longer going to clean rooms but Billy was going to work nights at the front desk. The girl almost got fired. Let's just say she was cheating on her rooms. We were begged to come back to cleaning rooms. We agreed.

Billy will no longer work at night. The two of us will clean rooms 5 days a week. If we come by and there are no rooms, we will be reimbursed for the cost of travel (we take the bus). The girl has been given a second chance but she will only work two days a week, holidays, and will be on call for when we're not there. Occasionally, someone gets a room for an hour and checks out. She'll be there to clean them. That way the room can be rented out if needed.

I love the house we got. It's a two bedroom, one bath. Huge backyard which has a privacy fence and small deck. We've already had one barbeque with our oldest daughter and her family. She has three kids who love the yard and the house. Our oldest granddaughter loves my office lol. Well, she loved the bed in the room lol. She kept saying she wanted to take a nap on it. It was so cute lol.

Our son-in-law invited his older sister, so we got to meet her for the first time (and her three-year-old son). We told her she was welcome here anytime. We were volunteered for future family gatherings since we have such a big yard lol. I'm on board for the birthday parties lol. That is, if the weather permits.

We're planning on getting some kittens but we haven't done that yet. Orginally, we were going to get one puppy and one kitten, but Billy decided two kittens (both females) will be better. Less expensive. We're trying to get settled in first.

The electric took a couple days to get turned on. We found out the only thing that takes gas is the heat so we're waiting until the fall for that. Saves money that way. We do have to get the water turned on in our name. It is on, but we have to transfer it. We don't have a lease but the company wants one so I had to type one up. We managed to get that turned in. It took us a couple of days, but we got it done. Everyone who needed our new address was also notified within the first week.

So, that's about it in a nutshell.
