Cynthia Myer
Meet The Author
Cindy (Cynthia) Myer lives the country life in central Illinois, the U.S.A. with her husband, children, and dogs. She enjoys a great cup of hot tea while watching the sunrise over the pond and snuggling up with a good book to read and a dog to keep her feet warm.
For more than two decades, Cynthia Myer spent her days teaching in a public high school, community college, or small groups such as Boy Scouts, Bible School, and Prevention programs while raising a family of three children with her husband. From a very young age, she knew she wanted to be in a profession that helped others - doctor, nurse, teacher, farmer, etc. In her early college days, she discovered tutoring and a joy in teaching others to succeed. Decades later as the education environment changed, she found herself drawn to teach and help in a different way - as an author of books.
As a teacher, an urgent issue was quite apparent: our children as high school students were not well-equipped emotionally to be young adults. These students could hardly identify their feelings accurately and efficiently, much less react productively. The simplest thing (book knocked off a desk by a classmate) could inspire an extreme outburst and possibly a verbal or physical altercation. To address this issue, Cynthia began exploring WHY this was happening.
The American family structure had fundamentally changed in the preceding years. Gone was the two-parent structure with family meals together and hours of honest communication. Single-parent homes, both parents forced to work longer and longer hours, overtaxed - physically and emotionally - modern parents simply had less time and energy to give to their children. Those children either learned on their own, from other adults in their lives or not at all how to deal with their emotions. Cynthia decided to address this issue by writing a series of books aimed at younger children AND the adult in their lives. (Younger children are more open and adaptable.)
George the Grasshopper was born. This Read WITH Me Emotional Literacy Series book approaches common emotional and social issues facing our children. BUT that's not all! Each book includes built-in lessons/questions Cynthia wrote based on her years of teaching. It's like a road map for parents to open conversations with their children. Honest connections. Honest discussions. Both build the relationship AND emotional literacy that will help the child grow into an emotionally resilient young adult.
Plans are in place for more George the Grasshopper books to address the growing concerns of our changing society. These are all of her books.
Amanda DeShane
Meet The Author
Hello! My name is Amanda DeShane. I am a fairly new author, digital artist, cover designer, and lover of fantasy stories. There is nothing better than slipping into a book, to experience unlimited adventures within its pages. I enjoy reading, writing, and spending time with my family and friends.
I live happily with my spouse and kids in a small British Columbia town in Canada. I have one teen and two-step children, and a mischievous cat named Thackery Binx. The children and the four-legged kid that meows are all the center of my universe.
I am a fantasy writer, who thrives off world-building and intricate stories with vivid imagery and mythology angles. I started out as a children's book author, then decided I wanted to write fantasy novels for a living. Being creative with no lack of ideas and creative drive, I jumped right in with two feet. My first adult novel, Asgard Academy: The Prophecy, is a fantasy reverse harem novel. It is an intricate web of a story that takes place in both the human realm and Asgard a Norse mythology realm. Aurora, my main character grows up in foster care completely ignorant of the fact that she is not human. Until the day her hands start going off like stun guns at the ready. Readers go on a journey as she discovers her birthright and who she is. Asgard is a world full of witches, warlocks, giants, all sorts of shifters, sirens, demigods and so much more. I love mixing legends and mythology with paranormal twists. Creating worlds that are unique and an adventure that makes you cheer, laugh, cry, and rage as the main character fights for what is right or just. I can’t seem to ever just pick one genre when writing so much of my work is written with multiple genres, multiple points of view, and twists. I currently have five books in the works to hopefully release in 2021.
Here are all of Amanda's books.

Kelly Swan Taylor
Meet The Author
Kelly Swan Taylor is the author of the popular young adult novel The Winning Ingredient and the sleuthy middle grade mystery series The Wright Detective. When she’s not concocting unique recipes in her kitchen or hovering over her keyboard, this attorney and former laboratory scientist spends her time as a competitive runner. With experience racing from sun-drenched Hawaii to frigid Iceland, her first publishing credit was in Simon & Schuster’s best-selling book series, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Running for Good, highlighting the historic 2013 and 2014 Boston Marathons. Growing up immersed in beloved “Teen” novels, Kelly now crafts her own sweet stories that bridge the gap between middle grade and young adult fiction that is so often forgotten but so sorely needed in the market today. In fact, she is so passionate about bridging this gap that she founded the imprint Link Press, dedicated to bringing these stories back to young readers. As a believer that there is magic in the everyday, she has a soft spot for the kind and sincere yet flawed character, who tries to do the right thing, stumbles along the way, but eventually becomes a hero in everyday life. Kelly resides in Providence, Rhode Island with her architect husband, Jonathan, and her spirit animal and trusted kitty, Otto. Her new young adult ice hockey mystery/thriller Frozen in Time releases in early fall 2023.

I have written a series of children's books (www.beyondthehill.co.uk), plays, scripts, poems and educational resources for schools.
I am self-published through Amazon and am not represented by anyone as yet but I hope it is only a matter of time before publishers and agencies beat a path to my door. I would very much like to retire early. :-)
