Review by A.R. Grosjean A Broken Past, written by Cara L. Silver. This was a great read because it was simple. But the story itself was far from simple. The MC reminded me of my past, it was like this author got inside my head and created this character based on my real life. Only there were a few changes, of course. Dani was a troubled young lady. She had the worse mother who treated her like a doormat, mentally abusing her and acting like she didn't matter and was only put on this Earth to take care of her and Dani's sister. She escapes by going to LA to attend college. But it doesn't make her life any easier. Memories of rape continue to haunt her and seem to get worse when she meets the boy of her dreams. She can't accept how this boy treats her because she's got a mental block keeping everyone out, feeling like she's unworthy of such a wonderful person. I can relate to that much as well. I won't ruin the story for you because it was a wonderful ride. Take a chance, and read this one. Find the book HERE
