It's a couple of days before Christmas and there isn't any snow! In the Southern Hemisphere, this is normal and expected but in the Northern Hemisphere, it's not. Maria and her fairy tale friends know something is wrong and one sets out to find Jack Frost who brings winter and snow. Maria is told to wait but she can't so she sets off after her friend with some other fairy tale creatures and this is the story of their adventure!

While I was reading it I thought it would be a great way for parents to have some evenings with their kids. They could read a few chapters and tell their little ones the story and as they get older everyone could take turns reading some pages. It'd be a great way to bring the family together and make some lasting memories by doing something as a family!

I recommend this story and any other fairy tales one may have or the classic Walt Disney movies. They were such family favorites and movies one could take the family to and know the entertainment was first rate. It's sad that some company now puts disclaimers on them trying to be woke.

I have always enjoyed fairy tales and even though I'm now up in years I still see and feel the magic when I pick one up. In the negative atmosphere we live in now it's nice to have a place to go that is the same as it was when I once picked up a book and read a fairy tale. I feel good and happy and wish others would feel that way too.

So why not read this story today and then reread your own favorite fairy tales you remember. I'm sure you'll feel better and isn't that what we all want to feel anyway?

Reasons for enjoying this book: Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Happy ever after. Original. Wonderful characters.

Maria goes on a quest to find the missing Jack Frost! The story started a bit slow for me, but then it picks up with new adventures on every page. As Maria goes on her journey, she makes new friends and discovers other worlds filled with intrigue and whimsy.

I picked this one up for the beautiful cover. It's not often I see books with boy characters. The story is about Maria (I haven't read book 1) who goes in search of her friend who is a gnome and missing. Jack Frost is the character on the cover.

This was an enjoyable story with well developed characters. I wish the first book had such a nice cover but I might pick it up to read with my daughter anyway.
